Duff takes out Veenstra with ease to reach Men's final of 2022 WDF Lakeside World Championship

Neil Duff is into the final of the 2022 WDF Lakeside World Championship and will take on either Cameron Menzies or Thibault Tricole on Sunday evening.
This after Duff eased past Richard Veenstra in a superb display winning through 5-2 with a 93 average in his Lakeside debut. His birthday present for his daughter continues to take shape.
A 180 and double 16 saw Veenstra break to begin the opening set. He broke back with a 24 checkout. After a scrappy time on doubles, Duff finally held to go 2-1 up and after a poor leg from Veenstra, Duff took double two for the opening set.
A 76 checkout saw Veenstra break throw to go one away from levelling up and he sealed it. Both hit 180’s to begin set three but Duff hit 41 to lead.
Duff hit another maximum but Veenstra hit double five to level up but an 80 checkout from Duff saw him go one away from a 2-1 sets lead.
Veenstra missed 118 and Duff returned for a 45 checkout to lead. He missed two darts at 24 to break but Veenstra missed 52 and Duff returned for double six in a wonder dart.
He missed 52 for a hold and Veenstra broke back at 1-1 following it up with a 48 checkout to make it 2-1. Duff finally hit 52 for a hold.
But it was a poor leg for Duff and Veenstra picked out double 10 for the set. Duff hit a 177 and missed 142 but returned for double 20. 
Veenstra hit a 180 to leave 28 but Duff hit a 104 to go one away from a 3-2 sets lead. A 130 to leave 71 which was missed by Duff but he returned with Veenstra only on 156 and he took the set.
Veenstra hit double six to hold throw. Duff missed 104 for a hold but no 138 was forthcoming for Veenstra so he returned to level up at 1-1 before going 2-1 up as the holds continued. Duff sent it all the way with Veenstra throwing to level. An 81 checkout saw Duff go 4-2 up in sets.
Duff continued his brilliance with a 12-darter on double 16 to go 1-0 up. Duff went 2-0 up on double 20. He missed 119 for the match but returned for double 20 to claim it.
