Leonard Gates continues to plot his course towards Lakeside after claiming the silver ranked Music City Classic in Nashville over this past weekend.
Gates picked up his third WDF ranking title of the season producing legs in 13, 14 and 15 darts as he ran out a 5-0 winner over Brandon Goddard with a 92.78 average in the process.
He defeated Gary Brooks, Stephen Phillips and Jim Widmayer en route to the final where he saw off Goddard and he is the victor in Nashville. While Andrea Taylor sealed the women's Music City Classic. She defeated Robin Curry in the final to claim her fifth career WDF title in the process.
She could yet qualify for Lakeside especially given that multiple players including Fallon Sherrock may not take up their invite if the get spots in the PDC World Darts Championship. So winning another title will no doubt strengthen her hopes.
The qualification period officially ends on Monday, October 28th following the conclusion of the Hungarian Classic and Masters in Budapest.
