The race to the WDF World Championship which will take place between Friday 28 November - Sunday 7 December 2025 continues as we reach a crucial juncture in the WDF season.

With five months of the new season gone, there are already 10 out of the 84 players set over the men's and women's draws with the latter being first to be focused on. Currently Lerena Rietbergen will lead as the top seed later this year and is one of only two players in the top eight not to qualify due to a tournament win.

Deta Hedman is second having won the Las Vegas Open earlier this year defeating Rhian O'Sullivan who ironically then added her name to the hat later in the month by winning the Dutch Open and is current third seed.

Lorraine Hyde is one of the longest standing players to be qualified. She won the Irish Open all the way back in 2024 to seal one of the first spots even prior to Beau Greaves next who is fifth as the 2024 World Championship. Tracy Feiertag is sixth alongside Jitka Cisarova as current leaders in the US and East Europe Ranking tables.

Sophie McKinlay is the only other player alongside Rietbergen in the top eight to qualify by right without a tournament win to confirm it. Gold/Platinum Event Winners will also get in who are Joanne Hadley currently for winning the 2025 South Australian Classic. She also gets in through Australia's ranking table.

Denmark Open, Toronto Area Open, New Zealand Open and Korean Open also gleam a spot. While Sarah Makanga (Africa and Western Asia), Pei-Ying Liao (Asia), Maria Carli (Canada) and Nicole Regnaud (New Zealand) lead ranking tables for current qualification meaning we could get a slew of debutants Regnaud aside in December.

A North Europe number one will qualify as will two further qualifiers. Paula Jacklin, Irina Armstrong, Paula Murphy and Aileen de Graaf lead the top four in the race of those not currently qualified too.
