'The Dutch Dragon' Van Dongen on PDC plans: "I want to invest three years in myself and then I'll see how far I get"

Jules van Dongen has recently made an impression on the WDF circuit winning two tournaments to qualify for the World Masters and he looks likely to make his Lakeside debut.

Van Dongen also known as 'The Dutch Dragon' receives the moniker having lived in America for 10 years albeit being originally from Holland. He won the Cherry Bomb International recently and has also signed with Loxley Darts.

"I had set myself some goals at the beginning of this year and I have now achieved them all. I wanted to qualify for the WDF Masters and the WDF World Championship and I succeeded. In the coming months I will also participate in all the major tournaments here," said 'The Dutch Dragon' on the Double Trouble Dartscast.

Q-School

However, the 31-year-old Dutchman also focuses on the PDC. "Early next year I will go to Q-School, but without putting any pressure on myself. If I fail to win a Tour Card, I will play the Challenge Tour. I am well aware that the level at the PDC is still a lot is higher, so I will have to learn to lose there in the beginning. I want to invest three years in myself and then I'll see how far I get," concludes van Dongen.
