Darren Webster and Adrian Lewis are the last two players through to the second round at the Grand Slam of Darts after victories over Gary Anderson and Jim Williams respectively.

Webster pulled off a superb win over Anderson 5-4 with a 100.8 average to finish runner-up to the Scot in a last leg decider which saw ‘The Demolition Man’ produce when it mattered.

Anderson started proceedings a lot better claiming a 2-0 lead against Webster who himself needed two legs to qualify. Webster got his first leg on the board and from there confirmed his spot in the next round.

He did so in style as well by producing a 113 checkout to secure the second leg needed to knock out William O’Connor.

He didn’t stop there though as he hit three consecutive legs to lead 4-3 and he went on the verge. Despite that though it was sent the distance but Webster held his nerve to claim the victory.

Lewis in victory over Jim Williams produced the ‘Jackpot’ of old winning through 5-3 to claim victory in their Group A shootout.

The Stoke ace was poor though to begin with hitting only 1/7 as it seemed like it was starting to unravel for him. Despite that though, he produced an excellent comeback from there.

It was soon parity with Lewis hitting back-to-back 180’s and a 75 finish to make it 3-3 and he was soon within one of the finishing line. His throw began to look effortless again and from there he claimed the victory to move through.
