Glen Durrant is through to the second round at the
World Series of Darts Finals with a tie against Michael van Gerwen awaiting on Saturday.
Durrant defeated Dimitri van den Bergh in a repeat of the World Matchplay semi-final and he admitted that despite claiming the win, it won't make up for that defeat.
"That's a good win," said Durrant. "It's no consolation for the World Matchplay, that game broke my heart, but I'm pleased with that win.
Looking ahead to that tie against Mighty Mike, he sent a message to the World Number One that he will have to be towards his best to beat him.
"I knew what the carrot was tomorrow, MvG, and it's a huge game. He's the best player in the world and it's the biggest challenge as a darts player.
"He's got to play well to beat me tomorrow night. I'm up for this. I feel good, I feel strong and I've love to win this tournament."
