After having to deal with numerous health issues over the past year, Lisa Ashton could not stop smiling after her 3-2 win over Mike Huntley to progress to the last 16 of the World Seniors Championship.
Despite leading 2-0 in sets, Huntley threw everything at her to get back in the game and soon levelled proceedings at 2-2, but with Ashton having the darts in the decisive set, she held her nerve and got across the line with an 86.58 average.

Speaking to Online Darts, she said: "I feel so happy to get over the winning line while playing like I have.
"I haven't done that for a long time and coming back after health issues, I can't ask for anything better than that."
While still not at peak fitness after he recent health struggles, Ashton was delighted to be back in the winners circle on the Circus Tavern stage and will face Scott Mitchell in the last 16.
