Martin Adams has pulled off a great escape of a comeback in the opening match of this Friday afternoon's session at the World Seniors Darts Championship.
In a battle of two legendary darting figures, 'Wolfie' quickly found himself in difficulty against Deta Hedman as the female thrower showed some sharp finishing to race through the opening two sets at the Circus Tavern. Sadly for Hedman though, she couldn't quite put the finishing touch on the performance by taking a third set.
As Adams found himself with his back against the wall, the three-time Lakeside champion roared back and reeled off the final nine legs without reply to secure the victory and book his spot in round two.
