Schedule and preview Friday afternoon session 2022 World Seniors Darts Championship

The action resumes at the 2022 World Seniors Darts Championship on Friday afternoon as more legends take to the oche aiming to force their way into the second round.

World Champions collide in the opening game as Les Wallace, the 1997 champion faces the 2001 winner, John Walton.

'McDanger' had a short stint in the Online Darts Live League last year in his first action in years and the intrigue will be there to see if he can still cut it.

While for 'John Boy', he still plays county darts and some WDF events as well as playing the Remote Darts League during lockdown alongside fellow BDO/WDF names.

Second up sees a different perspective as Paul Lim plays Dave Prins. 'The Singapore Slinger' is of course a major fans' favourite and has played at most PDC World Championships in recent year.

While for Prins, he has played at Lakeside and has been active on the Challenge Tour and other PDC tournaments for quite some time. He replaced Kevin Burness who got a Tour Card but whatever the outcome, it is a tough game for Lim.

Alan Warriner-Little spoke during the media day about how he had put that much practice in to prepare for this that he sprained his wrist.

'The Iceman' said that he hadn't picked up a dart in a long time with commitments now as an ITV pundit and also the Chief Executive of the PDPA and the proof will be in the pudding.

He takes on Larry Butler who is still very much an active player. The World Matchplay winner returned after a heart attack and has been competing on the CDC and has been in recent action on the WDF circuit so he is one of the most prepared. Can he take advantage of a rusty Iceman?

Then finally, former UK Open winner, 'The Tripod' Roland Scholten is the only Dutch representation in Purfleet and he will fly the flag when he takes on Terry Jenkins.

Scholten similar to the prior game said that he has put a lot of preparation in but with no match practice for a long while, it will be hard to gauge.

When he takes on Jenkins who since retiring left his darts in a suitcase after returning from Bahrain and couldn't find them when he got called up for the Live League.

His wife found them and he played but it showed the lack of action for Jenkins who spends more times in antiques than he does on the oche nowadays.

But he showed glimmers during that period and as a recently retired PDC pro who was still playing well when he packed the game in, he will be aiming to show the recent experience will pay dividends against Scholten.

Friday 4 February (1pm)
