Thornton dominates highest averages from 2022 World Seniors Darts Championship

Robert Thornton won the first edition of the World Seniors Darts Championship this past Sunday and this was no surprise looking at the highest averages.

The Scot was responsible for four of the six highest averages thrown during the tournament. Thornton produced his best game in the first round, beating Bob Anderson (3-0) with 94.66 average. Furthermore, the three-time major winner achieved averages of 92.66, 92.63 and 91.17.

Kevin Painter threw the second highest average of the tournament. Thanks to an average of 94.59, he beat Wayne Warren (3-0) in the second round.

The other names in the top-10 are Martin Adams (91.46 and 89.06), Dave Prins (90.79 and 90.15) and Larry Butler (88.99).
