The PDC European Tour has been confirmed to kick off between February 25-27 in Riesa, with the Belgian Darts Open now set to take place in September.
Forming part of 13 European Tour tournaments, the International Darts Open will kick proceedings off with the moving of the Belgian Darts Open meaning it will be three tournaments in Germany on the spin.
This will see the German Darts Championship in European Tour stalwart Hildesheim between March 11-13 and German Darts Grand Prix between April 16-18.
"The start of the 2022 European Tour is a very important sign," said PDC Europe chairman Werner von Moltke. "Even though we will have regulations in Riesa, we do hope to be able to welcome darts fans to events under 'normal' conditions again soon.
"We are expecting that in the coming weeks and months, further relaxations of rules will follow to enable fans to enjoy our events staged across Europe this year."
Further to this, a Players Championship double header will be stage in Niedernhausen as a result of the European Tour event being moved.
