Walton into Quarter-Finals of World Seniors Darts Championship after seeing off Part

John Walton will face the winner of Terry Jenkins and Lisa Ashton this evening after seeing off John Part in a 3-1 sets victory at the World Seniors Darts Championship.

Walton produced some quality darts at times to down the three-time World Champion who barring a consolation set couldn't produce his best darts.

It was a quality opening foray for Walton as he produced a 64 for an opening break followed by a 100 checkout to go one away from the opening set.

A 101 checkout saw Part on the board. Part missed 102 to keep the set alive and after multiple darts to seal the set, he finally claimed it on double 10.

The second set saw Walton have the throw and began with a 154 to hold. A 180 and 63 checkout saw him break again as he went one away from a two sets lead. A 74 checkout saw him claim it.

But as it looked like Walton was heading for the Quarter-Finals, Part got a set back in an edgy affair only to prove the only consolation for the Canadian as the former swept the following set without reply to claim victory.
