Dave Prins made good on his call up to the field at the World Seniors Darts Championship with a quality win over Paul Lim on Friday afternoon.
Prins spoke afterwards about beating the legendary Singapore Slinger. "It felt brilliant, fantastic. I mean Paul Lim's a legend, watching him growing up and actually playing him and winning, it's just unbelievable," he said post match.
A late call-up due to Kevin Burness winning a Tour Card, he added that he was always quietly confident of getting in the field.
"He beat me in the final to get there. I was number one in the rankings so I knew if any of the Q-School lads get in, I would be in."
And he has the same mindset about playing John Lowe next up believing he has the edge due to playing regularly still.
"It's another legend but it's a professional job. I'm here to win. I'm playing all year round and playing good darts but I'm confident."
