World Seniors Champion of Champions announced, inaugural edition set for Blackpool

In a new event for the World Seniors Darts Tour (WSDT) portfolio, the World Seniors Champion of Champions has been announced which will take place in 2023 at VIVA Blackpool.

Set for 25-26 March, it will feature eight players battling it out to be crowned Champion of Champions including the reigning champions on the WSDT in Robert Thornton (World Champion) and David Cameron (World Seniors Darts Master).

As well as three of the most successful players to ever pick up a dart in 16-time World Champion, Phil Taylor as well as 10-time World Champion, Trina Gulliver and three-time World Champion, Martin 'Wolfie' Adams as well as two further invitations.

The final spot will be sealed through a Golden Ticket qualifier taking place the night before with Open Series events also taking place in the venue during that weekend..

It will also be boosted by a new broadcast deal with Channel 5 meaning easily accessible free-to-air coverage in the UK after the recent announcement of the World Championship returning to the BBC.
