Mitchell Lawrie is already taking the darts world by storm. Competing
in the third event of the JDC Advanced Tour, the 15-year-old kicked off proceedings with a
nine-darter
to win his opening match.
The WDF World Championship runner-up is now the
world number
one on the circuit, the youngest to have achieved this incredible milestone
with the hype being firmly placed by many on the young Scotsman shoulders.
He is not buckling under the pressure, continuing to
showcase his brilliance on the oche in whatever setting. Currently competing in
Coventry, Lawrie kicked off his day by defeating Ethan Hawden 4-1. In the final leg,
Lawrie commenced it with two 18's before following up with a sublime 141 checkout to finish off what was a complete performance, averaging 103.04 in the process.
'Wee Sox' backed that up with a 4-1 victory over Junior Howard before returning into the ton+ averages with a commanding 4-2 triumph over Jack Johnson in the quarterfinals as he continues to hunt for glory and another title to add to his ever-growing CV.
