Lex Paeshuyse is widely recognized as a potential star of the future. The 13-year-old Belgian was crowned JDC world champion last year in the under-18 category and also won the youth tournament at the Winmau World Masters. He even secured a contract with darts manufacturer Mission Darts—one that has now been extended for multiple years.

Paeshuyse made a huge impression last year, catching the attention of the major darts manufacturers. Midway through the year, he signed a deal with Mission Darts, which also welcomed Mike De Decker at the start of this year. De Decker had previously been under contract with Bull’s Darts. Currently, the Belgian prodigy is competing in the Junior Power League, a tournament for players under 18, alongside nine other top young talents. He also holds second place on the Advanced Tour rankings.

At Mission Darts, where former professional Darryl Fitton serves as one of the brand’s ambassadors, they have full confidence in Paeshuyse. So much so that they recently extended his contract for multiple years. “I’m very happy to sign a contract extension with Team Mission. They have done so much for me. It really boosts my confidence knowing that if there is something wrong I can always contact them and there will be a solution. I’m looking forward to more years with Mission,” Paeshuyse said on the Mission Darts website.

His family also shared a heartfelt message on his Facebook page: “From a young age, you knew what you wanted. You’ve worked incredibly hard for it, training every single day, living a different life than most teenagers. Is success guaranteed? No—because no one has a crystal ball, and that’s perfectly okay. Whatever comes your way, make sure to enjoy it.”

They added, “Of course, talent alone isn’t enough. To achieve a dream, you need people who support you, who give you opportunities, who believe in you, even when you sometimes forget to believe in yourself.”
