Durrant shows commitment to amateur darts by joining MAD as global ambassador and shareholder

Glen Durrant has been a notable success story of the amateur game with over 20 years being spent in Local League, Super League and County for Cleveland before achieving huge success in the BDO.

He reached the summit in 2017 by becoming BDO World Champion before retaining the title before the organisations' demise in 2018 and 2019 with 'Duzza' then heading to Q-School.

Once on tour, he rose the ranks becoming Premier League champion as his rise from amateur to pro came full circle.

He is already thinking about life after darts and growing the amateur side of the game especially in his home base of the North East.

This includes not only input financially but finishing a coaching & mentoring qualification to find the next MAD to PDC Major winner.

He joins Michael van Gerwen as a global ambassador as a result for the organisation as well as a shareholder.
