Kyle Anderson won his first PDC title at Players Championship 17 on Saturday. 'The Original' also produced a nine-dart finish during his fourth round game against Ronny Huybrechts.
The Australian Ace defeated Kevin Painter in the final to claim his maiden PDC victory. Anderson beat Tony Newell (6-3), Nathan Aspinall (6-5), Ryan Meikle (6-1), Ronny Huybrechts (6-3), Stephen Bunting (6-3) and Michael Smith (6-3) en route to the final of Players Championship 17.
''Today it all came together. I said to myself, I have to take the chances I make for myself and today I took my chance," said Anderson on PDC.TV.
"I’ve never doubted myself - everybody on the tour can do what I did today and it's the ones who don’t get nervous who come through in the end.
"This is not a one off, I have to win again, there has to be more!"
Thank you to everyone for the congratulatory messages. Much appreciated. Now it's onto bed darts tomorrow then airport to drop family off.
