Nathan Aspinall and
Vincent van der Voort followed up their first round wins with real scalps as Gerwyn Price and Jelle Klaasen also progressed at the German Darts Grand Prix.
Aspinall became the first to knock out a seeded player at the German Darts Grand Prix as he sent Dave Chisnall packing 6-2. 'The Asp' was clinical on his doubles and booked a big win over the world-number-six, despite averaging almost ten points less than his countryman.
Vincent van der Voort survived a last-leg decider against Mervyn King in a match that saw 'The Dutch Destroyer' hit finishes of 90, 100, 124 and 125. The pair proceeded to trade 180's in the last leg before 'The King' missed three darts for the match, allowing Van der Voort to hit double nine to complete a comeback from 5-2 down.
Gerwyn Price sealed a 6-3 victory over Krzysztof Ratajski. 'The Iceman' and 'The Polish Eagle' struggled with finishing as both hit less than a third of their doubles. Price dealt with it better and secured the win.
The match between Jelle Klaasen and Jamie Bain was a real close encounter as both players seemed in control at different stages of the match. In the end, Klaasen kept his cool and defeated the Scot 6-4.
