It was a night to forget for Cross who averaged just 77 with 1/9 on his doubles meaning that Beaton who was his usual consistent self could see off ‘Voltage”.
The Bronzed Adonis kicked off the game with a 160 and a double 16 to claim a 14 darter and following that he raced to the set lead 3-1.
He continued his fine finishing in the following set hitting 64 and 68 before claiming the win on double 16 with Cross having no answer as his indifferent season continues.
Suljovic started his match off with Wade with a clean sweep of legs to claim the first set giving his opponent all to do. Wade is known as one of the best players for grinding out a result from an impossible position and it nearly came off.
‘The Machine’ came back to go 2-0 up in the following set but the Gentle wasn’t about to let it slip. He came back to force a decider which he took to claim a victory which continues his brilliant year.
