Steve Beaton once again survived a match-dart at the European Darts Trophy. Kim Huybrechts missed the opportunity to beat the former Lakeside champion, while Gerwyn Price made the same mistake on Saturday evening in the second round.
Price came back from a 4-2 deficit and left 146 after twelve darts in the leg-decider. He hit the treble 20 twice, but missed the double to pinch the win. Beaton escaped and took out 72 to book his place in the third round.
Martin Schindler and
Darren Webster will also return on stage during the final day of the European Darts Trophy in Göttingen. Schindler whitewashed
Mervyn King 6-0, while Webster edged out Ricky Evans 6-3. 'The Demolition Man' made the difference on the doubles, as Webster missed only one double during the game.
