Corey Cadby returned to the UK for the first time since his World Championship debut last year at the Alexandra Palace to take part in the
World Series of Darts Finals in Glasgow, a tournament he has been invited to by the
PDC mainly due to his prowess during the Oceanic legs earlier this year.
Once he leaves Glasgow, he has the World Youth Championship Last 64 in his quest to reach Ally Pally and retain his title as well as the Grand Slam next weekend and if he gets through to the WYC final he will be at the Players Championship Finals so he has a busy few weeks
But he started that by defeating Jelle Klaasen a fellow stablemate as part of Mac Elkin's The Sportsman Management Company/ TSMC and despite it not being the fireworks everybody was predicting Cadby got through punishing missed doubles from the Cobra.
His next test is tonight against
Gerwyn Price who like 'The King' likes to get animated on the stage and Cadby predicted there are going to be fireworks and it will be a special match against someone he has a lot of respect for.
“There are going to be fireworks," predicted Cadby. "He gives it, I give it, so it should be a magic match.
“I’ve got a lot of respect for Gerwyn and the best man on the night will win, let’s hope it’s me.”
