Corey Cadby will not be at this years' World Championship at the Alexandra Palace. The Aussie sensation had 3 chances to reach the tournament but couldn't get over the line in any of them so despite many looking forward to the entertaining up and comer playing at the Alexandra Palace again he won't be. Gordon Mathers won the Dart Players Australia Order of Merit for the year which secured him the spot at the World Championship with Cadby finishing 3rd behind Rhys Mathewson as well. He also lost in the last 32 of the Oceanic Masters which was seen as his last real concrete chance that he could deliver on and Bernie Smith went on to win that tournament. And finally he lost in the semi-final of the World Youth Championship to Josh Payne 6-3 including being 5-0 down at one point to end his chances of retaining his title he won last year and also grabbing a spot at the most prestigious event on the
PDC calendar. From here Cadby will go to the Grand Slam of Darts and play in that for the next week and from there preparations turns to Q-School where he will be trying to win a tour card for the first time having moved over here.
