Alan Norris says he is 'fit and ready' for the
Grand Slam of Darts this weekend despite only just scraping through qualification with severe man flu. 'Chuck' though was handed a tough assignment if things weren't bad enough with the group of death including World Number 2 Peter Wright, World Youth Champion Corey Cadby and Lakeside World Champion Glen Durrant.
He said to Phil Lanning of the Sun that 'It's a miracle I got through the qualifying on Monday. I've had man flu for a few weeks and it's been really hard travelling and playing under the hot lights'.
And he then said that 'That's why I ended up losing 10-0 to Simon Whitlock in the Euro's' and spoke about getting the group of death by saying that 'It's not an easy group but none of them are'.
