Rob Cross is through to the third round at the German Darts Championship in Hildesheim after defeating Ron Meulenkamp 6-4.
Cross broke Meulenkamp's throw in the first leg and kept this advantage throughout the match. In the fifth leg 'Voltage' was waiting on double 16 to throw for another break of throw, but the Dutchman hit a stunning 160 checkout to stay in the game. Cross finished the match in the tenth leg with a 14-dart leg as he set-up a third round clash with Daryl Gurney.
Gurney beat Andy Boulton 6-1 on Saturday evening, as he averaged 98.5 with 55% on the doubles.
Joe Cullen also booked his place for the final day in Hildesheim as 'The Rockstar' defeated Nathan Aspinall after a high-quality game. Both players averaged over 101, but Cullen made the difference on the doubles with needing only eleven darts to hit his six doubles.
