The 2018 World Champion started brilliantly as he claimed the first three legs while averaging 116 with four 180's. Three of those maximum scores were in three consecutive scoring visits.
Suljovic won his first leg in the fourth leg as he took 25 and two legs later he hit double top to make 2-4. In the seventh leg 'The Gentle' left double 20, but was deprived a chance as Cross hit a 126 finish to keep his three-leg lead.
The world number two hit a 15-darter in the tenth leg to move 7-3 ahead, before Suljovic grabbed his fourth leg with a nice 124 check-out. It was only a postponement of execution as Cross hit double 4 in the 12th leg to claim his tenth victory in the competition and secure his place in the play-offs.
