Cross survives seven matchdarts against West, Clayton edges out Hopp

Rob Cross survived a scare in the second round of the Austrian Darts Open. Steve West missed seven matchdarts to beat the reigning world champion.

Cross came back from 3-5 down to secure a place in the last 16 round, where he will meet Steve Beaton. Jonny Clayton reached the final day of the European Tour event after beating Max Hopp 6-3. Cristo Reyes defeated Jelle Klaasen 6-2 to move into the final day in Graz.
