Mitchell produces 104 average to beat Schindler, Whitlock takes last chance with victory over Gilding

Scott Mitchell produced a stunning 104 average to beat Martin Schindler at the Grand Slam of Darts. As a result of this victory, 'Scotty Dog' is still within a chance to reach the knock-out stage of this event.

The former Lakeside champion hit nine 140's and hit five out of twelve darts on the double en route to the victory. Schindler won the first leg of the match, but Mitchell saw off the German after winning five legs on the spin.
In Group F Simon Whitlock kept sight on reaching the knock-out stage. 'The Wizard' lost his first match to Glen Durrant on Saturday, but recovered with a 5-2 victory over Andrew Gilding.
