Danny Noppert has blown the International Darts Open wide open after he knocked out newly installed favourite Mensur Suljovic in Riesa.

Noppert who needed a good run in order to try and claim a late World Grand Prix place defeated him 6-4.
This win has all but assured him of that spot in Dublin at the expense of Jelle Klaasen and he could yet win a first PDC title.
Also through is Steve West who edged past one of this year’s first time winners on the European Tour, Jonny Clayton.
West had to come from 5-3 behind to see off the Ferret who himself averaged 101 in defeat.
Finally one of the big names remains in the hunt in the form of Adrian Lewis. The former 2x World Champion secured his passage through with ease in a 6-2 win over Stephen Bunting.
