GRANDPRIX RD1 NORTH2

Richard North and Mervyn King are both in good form and this is helping their cause for qualifying for the World Grand Prix later this year. Both players have played in the event before with North making his debut last year and King having a best of a final in the event.

King is currently 11th in the Pro Tour Order of Merit with minimum money added to ETs 2-9 qualifiers barring the seeds in the table below. North is just below him in 13th place.
Like previously alluded to, the event could gleam debuts for Corey Cadby, Ron Meulenkamp and Krzysztof Ratajski who are all in good form. Outside of contention as a result currently include Jeffrey de Zwaan but only just with Steve West the final player in the top 16.
The likes of Steve Beaton, former Grand Prix champion Robert Thornton & Kyle Anderson are outside both Order of Merits but of course still have a chance of making the event at the Citywest with it being early days in the season.
