Rusty-Jake Rodriguez has won the first match of the Danish Darts Open. The younger brother of Rowby-John and Roxy-James Rodriguez beat William O'Connor 6-5.

The 17-year-old took a 5-2 lead, but struggled to pull the victory over the finish line. O'Connor fought back to 5-5, but Rodriguez managed to claim the victory as he hit double 1 in the legdecider. Krzysztof Ratajski, a Pro Tour event winner, lost immediately in the first round of the Danish Darts Open. The Polish Eagle was beaten by Ryan Joyce (6-2).
