The end of the World Series of Darts Finals 2017 are nigh and the 4 men left have sprung no shocks with the likes of Gerwyn Price, Rob Cross, Kyle Anderson and Raymond van Barneveld not reaching the final session.
The four men we have left are Gary Anderson and James Wade who will face off in the first semi-final. Anderson has had an easy and a hard encounter so far with 'The Flying Scotsman' flying past Chris Dobey but was taken the distance by Gerwyn Price who had previously dumped out the young Aussie Corey Cadby. Opposite him is James Wade, 'The Machine' could only just get through Simon Stevenson yesterday but put heed to that beating Dimitri van den Bergh who has had a superb weekend 10-6. The crowd will be behind Anderson so it will be up to Wade to deal with that.
In the second semi-final is none other than the World Number One and a heavy favourite to complete his treble in Glasgow, Michael van Gerwen, after smashing Max Hopp he smashed Rob Cross 10-4, someone who usually would mount more of a challenge but Van Gerwen did hit a 108 average and this is a worry for his opponent one of the stars of this year, the world number four, Daryl Gurney who only averaged 96 but will be aiming for another TV crown and to knock out the World's best in the process.
