Raymond van Barneveld has thanked fans for their messages of support after his house was raided on Saturday morning.
The five time World Champion was not there at the time due to Van Barneveld playing an exhibition in the UK on Friday evening. However, Silvia, his wife, was there and suffered minor injuries.
’Barney’ said the following on Twitter: ‘Silvia and I would like to thank everybody for all their messages and sympathy after the horrible attack that Silvia has been going through at our house.
As well as ‘We are happy with the support from the local police and are confident that they will catch these guys.’

- It happens. Remember, anyone who has watched German and Dutch players in matches - their respective countries will have seen/heard just as bad jeering (if not worse). - Was watching an old World Masters final the other day between Eric Bristow and John Lowe, the crowd respect for both players on throw was first class, not a sound. You can imagine now the idiots who were whistling on De Deckers throw proudly boasting about it on social media.
