Michael van Gerwen celebrated his 100th PDC title last weekend. The world-number-one won two tournaments at the UK Open Qualifiers in Wigan, which helped him to reach the hundred milestone.

Van Gerwen has won forty titles on the Pro Tour now. In addition, 'Mighty Mike' managed to book twenty European Tour victories over the last few years. He claimed victory at major tournaments forty times as well. In the history of the PDC, only Phil Tayor won over hundred titles worldwide.
''I am very proud of this record and I hope I can reach the next 100 just as fast,'' said Van Gerwen on his own website.
''It is always nice to have records like this associated with my name and it was a special feeling to know that I had reached it.
''It doesn’t change anything though, I am still hungry for every title as if it would be my first so everyone better watch out.''
The 28-year-old Dutchman will get the chance this weekend to add another three titles to his name. The last three UK Open Qualifiers will be played from Friday till Sunday. The two-time World Champion is currently leading the UK Open Qualifiers ranking after the first three events.
