James Wade has finished the Premier League season with a flourish by edging out Rob Cross in Leeds.

Wade has finished as a result in third and denied Cross the chance to win the league phase and bonus which comes with it. As a result for the seventh straight season, Michael van Gerwen finishes top of the pile.
Wade took the early lead in the contest but Cross came back with a 126 checkout to level up. Both players exchanged legs in what we expected which was a close clash between two of the most in form players in darts.
The turning point came when Cross missed darts to break and Wade was allowed back to make it 5-4. From there, Wade made it 6-4 and meant Cross had a lot to do to finish top.
He clawed back another leg to make it almost level pegging again but Wade assured himself of a point with a Shanghai 120 finish. This meant Van Gerwen would finish top and from there Wade wrapped up the victory.
