The final Premier League standings have been confirmed after the final night in Leeds before the playoffs.
Michael van Gerwen finished top after squeezing through and having a helping hand from James Wade . As a result of this, Van Gerwen claimed the winners bonus and the top position for a seventh straight year. Cross was cruelly denied this despite being probably the best player in the Premier League at times this year. He will now set his sights on the play-offs though now and claiming the overall title. The other two players joining them at the O2 are James Wade and Daryl Gurney. Both players have enjoyed excellent form so far this year both in the Premier League and on the tour. As a result this year’s play-offs could be seen as one of the hardest to call with MVG at times not as imperious and the other three taking advantage of this at times this season so it should be an interesting conclusion. for more information about the Premier League Darts, including all the fixtures and the prize fund breakdown.
