Pim van Bijnen is one of the greatest, young Dutch talents. However, the 17-year-old darter is currently struggling with dartitis.
Van Bijnen has been active at the WDF World Cup and the WDF World Championship in recent years, and he is also a regular on the PDC Development Tour. However, the young dart player has been suffering from dartitis for some time.
"I've already gotten a lot of help from different people, but I'm currently in counseling with a psychologist," Van Bijnen told the podcast 'Dartpraat'. "It's important that I learn to turn my perfectionism into something positive, so that it's going to help me instead of holding me back."
The podcast also featured guest Bas Engelen of Premium Dart Data. "Dartitis is something that is purely between the ears, it's definitely nothing physical," he says. "For Pim, I think it's a big advantage that he has it at a young age. Even with dartitis he has worked his way up to one of the greatest Dutch talents, that promises a lot for the future if he can solve that problem."
