The final tournament before the PDC World Darts Championship will conclude later this evening with three of the World's best still in the hunt for the title at the Players Championship Finals in Coventry.
First up is Peter Wright who saw off Michael Smith in a 10-6 victory this afternoon in a high quality affair which saw 'Snakebite' come from 6-5 down to win five straight legs and claim victory.
It is a title which could also strengthen not only his confidence heading into his World Championship defence but also push him closer to finalising a move to the World Number One spot after the World Championship.
He will take on a familiar foe though in Mervyn King who reached his first TV semi-final since 2014 with a 10-8 win over Damon Heta with 'The King' overturning a 7-2 deficit to claim victory.
Then it is a potentially tantalising tie between Michael van Gerwen, the defending champion and Gerwyn Price, the World Number Three.
Van Gerwen against Dirk van Duijvenbode showed flashes that he is getting back towards his best while Price saw off Joe Cullen in a narrow 10-9 win.
Price like Wright has said multiple times this weekend that he is starting to miss home after being on the road for so long and this might work in a fired up Van Gerwen's favour.
But can 'The Iceman' produce after the World Number One defeated him in last year's final and at the initial event to begin the year in Minehead, the UK Open - to date Van Gerwen's only major win this year.
Between the semi-finals also there is the matter of the World Youth Championship final with Bradley Brooks set to face Joe Davis after they finalised the line-up during the final Development Tour weekend.
19:10 Peter Wright v Mervyn King
20:10 Gerwyn Price v Michael van Gerwen
Wright/King v Price/Van Gerwen
