Glen Durrant retained top spot in the Premier League Darts standings after Night Six in Liverpool.
Duzza stepped out against Daryl Gurney at the summit, with his opponent rooted to the bottom. That remains the case, thanks to the debutant's 7-5 victory on Thursday night. Durrant sits on nine points, and is the first player mathematically guaranteed Premier League Darts survival.
Thanks to a similarly tight win over Gerwyn Price, Michael van Gerwen finds himself in second spot on eight points. After the Dutchman come three players all locked on seven apiece. Only Peter Wright won out of the three; Michael Smith was beaten by Snakebite and doesn't gain ground on the top two, while Nathan Aspinall picked up a point.
Gary Anderson was the man Aspinall drew with, and the Scot sits alone on six points. Gerwyn Price was widely tipped to reach the Premier League Darts play-offs, but currently languishes in seventh after that defeat to van Gerwen.
Price is on five points after six matches; as is Rob Cross, who was forced to accept a draw with challenger Stephen Bunting in Liverpool.
Gurney's Premier League Darts hopes look even bleaker after that loss against Durrant. The Northern Irishman stays on two points, three adrift of Cross and Price with a vastly inferior leg difference.
The table could remain as it is for some time yet. It is yet to be confirmed if the Premier League Darts season will continue, with the
double-header in Rotterdam already set to be cancelled due to coronavirus fears.
