After nine days of action at Aldersley Leisure Village, it all comes down to this as the 2021 Grand Slam of Darts concludes with the final between Gerwyn Price and Peter Wright who faced off the last time this tournament was staged in this venue.
Back in 2019 which was the second of Price's Grand Slam wins, he ran away with the title in one of the most dominant final displays in recent years 16-6 giving 'Snakebite' no chance.
He will hark back to memories of that going into tonight's final which has seen both players have contrasting runs through to the final.
Price surged through to the knockout stages after winning two games and losing one to Nathan Rafferty with the World Number One not hitting top gear.
While for Wright, similarly his best darts didn't come in the group stage as he narrowly won through with four points.
'The Iceman' survived his scare against Bradley Brooks winning 10-8 against the World Youth Champion before getting over a hurdle which has become harder to navigate as of late.
He saw off Jonny Clayton 16-12 in revenge for his World Grand Prix final defeat and upped his level from there averaging 102.58 in breezing past James Wade 16-9 on Sunday afternoon.
While for Wright, he averaged only 90 in edging past Jose de Sousa in a deciding leg before winning a tough battle with Fallon Sherrock, one of the stories of the tournament.
But it was against Michael Smith, he shined. Producing a remarkable comeback, he looked unplayable after going 12-8 down and will hope to string together a similar series against Price later this evening.
Overall though, it is the World's top two players facing off in a final which could be a true classic.
It is also one which could see Price confirmed his top seed status for the World Championship and bring himself a third Grand Slam title.
Or it could be a first for Wright and bring him around £35,000 closer to knocking off Price as top seed. Who comes out on top?
