The day of the Dutch dawns at the World Championship.
Michael van Gerwen has laid down one hell of a gauntlet; can his countrymen pick it up? Derk Telnekes won't care about any of that; his only aim is to set up a second round tie against fellow Dutchman Jermaine Wattimena.
Nick Kenny will have something to say about that. The Welsh ace has made a promising start on the Pro Tour and did well to battle through a tough Tour Card holders' qualifier. He'll want to do much better at the Ally Pally than he did at the Lakeside, where he failed to get past the first round on any of his three outings.
Also hoping to debut in style are Jason Lowe and Dimitry Gorbunov. The Russian has big boots to fill, with this spot normally either filled by the promising Boris Koltsov or the entertaining Aleksandr Oreshkin. Lowe will bring a steady performance to the Palace and will be the favourite to meet Michael Smith in round two.
First round games don't get much more important than this. Maik Kuivenhoven and Matt Edgar are on a mission to preserve their spot on the Pro Tour. Some decent European Tour outings seem to have done the job for Kuivenhoven; a win would seal another year on the Pro Tour for the Dutchman.
Mensur Suljovic is a brilliant player but is there to be got at, and Matthew Edgar will feel that. He turned on the style to get through a competitive Tour Card holders' qualifier, and will be more keen than ever to get through the first round - something he hasn't done in either of his previous two visits to the Palace.
We finish our Netherlands experience with a battle of the Dutchmen. Ron Meulenkamp faced up to a tricky opponent in Boris Krcmar, and even got a little wound up, but won through in the end. He's a solid southpaw who can cause problems, especially to out-of-form opponents.
Make no mistake, the pressure will be on Vincent van der Voort, who unfortunately doesn't get to have a crowd to chant his name. But bear in mind that only once in his last 13 Alexandra Palace visits has the Dutch Destroyer lost in the first round. A very interesting tie against Nathan Aspinall or Scott Waites awaits the winner.
