The 2021 Players Championship season will begin in February following Q-School with the first of three four day PDC
Super Series blocks set to take place.
Last year saw the introduction of grouped blocks of Players Championship events in the form of the Summer, Autumn and Winter Series.
They will return to begin the new season with the Premier Suite at Bolton Whites hotel set to host the first Super Series between February 25-28, the week following Q-School.
As was previously revealed, the UK Open will follow behind closed doors at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes between March 5-7 before another Super Series takes place at the same venue between March 16-19.
The action will shift to Germany for Super Series 3 which will be staged between April 24-27 at the H+ Hotel in Niedernhausen in Germany.
As usual, the action will be broadcast on two boards on PDCTV with each Super Series featuring four one-day Β£75,000 tournaments in the Players Championship series.
"We're pleased to be able to introduce the Super Series and to be able to look forward to the PDC ProTour returning in February," said PDC chief executive Matthew Porter.
"Given the current global situation, this format is the most appropriate for staging Players Championship events in a safe and secure environment, and worked well during 2020 after initially being introduced for the Summer Series.
"The Super Series will see our first 12 Players Championship tournaments of 2021 held across the next three months, with further details of the PDC calendar to be released in due course."
