The field is set for the 2025 Bahrain Darts Masters which is due to take place next weekend between January 16-17 as eight PDC stars take on eight Asian representatives. Leading the way are Luke Littler and Luke Humphries.
Littler hit a nine-dart finish en route to winning the title last year. His first foray on the breakout year which ended with this PDC World Darts Championship triumph.
He lifted the trophy on his World Series debut and one year on will return as will Luke Humphries who won the World Cup of Darts, World Matchplay and Players Championship Finals during 2024.
Stephen Bunting and Chris Dobey who get the rewards of the Premier League will also get the chance to make a World Series bow. They are joined by Rob Cross, Gerwyn Price, Nathan Aspinall and Peter Wright.
Only Michael van Gerwen is missing from the Premier League line-up as he misses out due to family commitments. Albeit this line-up has also led to criticism which was also a theme of 2024 as it is the same group of players as such who will adorn the Premier League line-up every week.
This in itself led to fatigue from the top names and the same matches being played so the intrigue of whether the World Series differs at all with Den Bosch also after remains to be seen.
The Asian representatives are led from the best of the Asian Tour including Lourence Ilagan and stars of Ally Pally in Alexis Toylo and Paolo Nebrida. As well as Lok Yin Lee who also made a splash in the UK. Xiaochen Zong and Nitin Kumar are also involved as well as Bahrain's best players in Basem Mahmood who has shown good form in the past and Abdulla Saaed.
