The 2025 darts year is characterized by some notable talents who managed to make their mark on both the Challenge Tour and the Development Tour. While it is often an achievement in itself to win a tournament on either circuit, this year three players have pulled off that feat on both Tours:
Beau Greaves,
Jamai van den Herik and Cam Crabtree.
Beau Greaves: unparalleled class
English sensation Beau Greaves continues to amaze the darts world. With two titles on the Challenge Tour and three wins on the Development Tour, the 21-year-old dart star has had a great year.
Greaves, who has long been known as an exceptional talent with the ladies, is proving this season that she is also fully capable with the men on the PDC Tours. Her consistently high averages, cold-blooded finishes and mental toughness make her one of the most complete players of the moment.
Greaves recently announced that she is choosing to participate in the PDC World Darts Championship this year, so she will not defend her title at the WDF Women's World Championship. She is also accepting her PDC Tour Card for her second place finish on the Development Tour and thus will compete on the Pro Tour next year.
Jamai van den Herik: Dutch talent with a future
Dutchman Jamai van den Herik also showed why he is considered one of the greatest talents of his generation. With two titles on the Challenge Tour and two on the Development Tour, Van den Herik has become a serious contender for a PDC Tour Card in record time. Van den Herik goes to Q-School early next year with a lot of confidence.
Cam Crabtree also deserves a mention: with no fewer than five wins on the Development Tour, he shows that he can become a regular on the highest level in the coming years. The 22-year-old Englishman already finished first in the final standings of the Development Tour and captured his PDC Tour Card at Q-School earlier this year.
