Gary Anderson is the final player into the Last 16 at the 2021/22 PDC
World Darts Championship as he completed a comeback to down Ian White.
Anderson came from three sets down and survived a match dart as he moved past his good friend in the last Third Round tie.
It was a cagey start from both players but despite missing 15 darts at the doubles in the first set, White took it in a decider.
Anderson was fading fast and White went two sets away from victory in consecutive legs to go 2-0 up.
White rattled in a 124 checkout in the deciding leg to go 3-0 up as he sent Anderson towards the point of no return.
Anderson was only averaging 87 but claimed a set back and a lifeline in the form of a 3-1 sets deficit. This gave him confidence as he swept the requisite set to go one behind.
White went towards the brink in the sixth set going 2-0 up on double 15 but missed a match dart which allowed Anderson back in who sealed it from there with a 111 checkout to make it 3-3 in sets.
White narrowly missed double 16 for a 143 checkout and Anderson hit double 20 to lead in the deciding set. He followed that up on double five to go one away.
He hit 130 to set up 71 but missed double 20 for the match before returning for double 10.
