The first round has began at Players Championship 16 with mixed fortunes for the big names so far in Leicester in the final action before the World Matchplay.
Gary Anderson has lost out with Jules van Dongen accounting for him 6-3 with a 92 average. But there were wins for James Wade who continues his superb from.
He averaged 104 in seeing off the in-from Radek Szaganski. Victories also for Cameron Menzies (105), Brendan Dolan (100) as well as Steve Beaton, Andrew Gilding, Mike de Decker, Gabriel Clemens and Simon Whitlock.
Raymond van Barneveld too is out losing 6-4 to Arron Monk despite averaging just under 97.
