Two-time World Champion,
Gary Anderson always thrives this time of year and he has booked his place in the Quarter-Finals of this year's PDC
World Darts Championship.
This after a pulsating win over Rob Cross which saw Anderson claim it 4-3 with a 97 average, seven 180's and a 170 checkout en route.
Cross averaged just 86 in the opening set compared to that of 97 from Anderson but he took out 78 to pinch the opening set in a decider.
But Anderson had a set back in consecutive legs and made it five on the spin following that with a 170 checkout which carried him into a 2-1 sets lead with six legs from the previous seven played.
He was in cruise control and leaving Cross in the dust as he went into a 3-1 lead for a third consecutive set and was one away from the win.
This is when Cross started to fight as he took another set to make it 3-2 with a stunning 144 checkout and his comeback was complete from there.
As he was sent into a deciding leg in the requisite set, Anderson bust 129 and Cross stepped in to send it the distance.
He led the match for the first time since the first set but Anderson pinned double 20 to claim the last set 3-1 to stop the revival in its tracks.
