Gary Anderson is having a strong season. The Scot, who had slipped to 22nd position in the world rankings, already reached three ranking finals this season and won one Players Championship tournament.
Anderson's rising form was previously demonstrated by his scoring ability, but now it appears that 'The Flying Scotsman' has also made strides with his finishing.
Figures from statistics platform Darts Orakel show that the two-time world champion has doubled his finishing percentage on tops this year. At the Masters in January, Anderson's finishing percentage on the double 20 was just 23.08 per cent.
Gradually, tops, usually one of Anderson's favourite doubles, has been found easier and easier. At the end of February, the percentage was already 31.25 per cent and in March as high as 44.26 per cent. Meanwhile, the counter stands at 48.96 per cent, more than twice as much as in January.
