Lisa Ashton will once again join Mikuru Suzuki at the Grand Slam of Darts for the second year in a row after coming through the Women's Qualifier to begin proceedings this weekend in Barnsley.
Ashton saw off Corrine Hammond 5-0 in the final with an 87 average as the Aussie ace couldn't reproduce the form that saw her produce a comeback from 3-1 down to see off Fallon Sherrock in the semi-finals.
For 'The Lancashire Rose' it was a 5-2 win against Deta Hedman in the semi-finals to book her place and she has set a marker down ahead of this weekend's Women's Series.
This came after victories over Vicky Pruim 5-1, Felicia Blay 5-2, Maria O'Brien 5-1 and Christina Cronin 5-0, her class was shown with her average not going under 82 after a 77 average in her opener.
