Despite losing her Tour Card, Lisa Ashton has more opportunities than ever with the World Seniors Darts Championship recently as well as the Women's Series and now the Women's World Matchplay.
Ashton is determined to make it to the tournament as a dream will be realised as well as it being on home soil for 'The Lancashire Rose'.
"I've always wanted to play there especially in Blackpool. It's like my home turf in Lancashire so hopefully I'm going to try my best to qualify there and that would be a dream to play on that stage," said Ashton to Tungsten Tales.
"They give us more opportunity in the Women's Series now and adding this on, more ladies are going to enter. Now the COVID restrictions are lifting, we will get more of the other players travelling so hopefully it's going to be fantastic and the doors are always open, you never know with the PDC, more offers can come."
